Water Based Enhancer & Sealer for Stone
DESCRIPTION: Stone Guard is an excellent GREEN water based sealer formulated to protect and highlightthe character and beauty of unsealednatural stone. It rejuvenates the colorand improves the appearance of wornand weathered stone. May also beused as a pre-grouting sealer. Allows moisture-vapor transmission.
USES: Use on unsealed stone such as, slate, limestone, tile, stucco, concrete, terrazzo, and sandstone. Effective for interior and exterior applications. Works on most porous architectural substrates
COVERAGE: Coverage will varydepending on type of stone, porosityand texture of surface absorption,temperature, humidity, and method of application.
EXPECTED WEAR: Will varydepending on hardness and textureof surface, type of area, surface wear, frequency, and type of maintenance products used. The expected wear isup to 3 years. Exterior applications mayrequire more frequent reapplication.Weather conditions, harsh cleaning methods, and high-alkaline, acidic, orsolvent-based cleaners will affect wear.
TEST A SMALL AREA:
according to application instructionswith a 24-hour cure time to determine desired results. Test for stain repellency using likely contaminants.Once enhanced, stone cannot be restored to original color appearance.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN Caution: Use in well-ventilated areas. Avoid prolonged skin contact. Rubber gloves and eye protectionshould be worn during application.
IF INGESTED: if person isconscious, immediately give 2 glassesof water and induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.
EYE CONTACT: Flush with water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT: Wash immediately with soap and water. If irritation persists seek medical attention. INHALATION: Relocate to fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

APPLICATION: 1.) Readentire label before using. 2.) For newinstallations, sealer can be applied assoon as 48 hours after grouting. 3.)Surface must be clean, dry, and free of existing sealers or coatings. 4.)Apply using a sponge, brush, and paintpad, cotton towel, or sprayer. NOTE: Be sure that any sealer that does notpenetrate surface is polished dry off surface with in 5 minutes of applicationusing absorbent paper or cotton towels.5.) If 2 or more coats are applied, allowa minimum of 30 minutes drying timebetween coats. 6.) Ready for surface
traffic in 12 hours after final coat. Keep
dry for 12 hours. Achieves full cure in 48 hours, Some highly porous surfacesmay require an additional coat after full cure. 7.) Clean applicator tools withmineral spirits after each use.
PRE-GROUTING APPLICATION: Apply over cleanstone or tile a minimum of 2 hours prior to grouting – follow applicationprocedures above.
LIMITATIONS: Do not allow sealer to come in contact with anynon-recommended surface as productis not completely removable. Sealers
and finishes should not be used before
or after use of Stone Guard. If Stone Guard is not WIPED COMPLETELY DRY within 5 minutes, a residue may form. If residue occurs, use a scrub
brush with alcohol to remove. Keepfloor surfaces dry and clean to reduce
possibility of slip-fall accidents. Routine pressure washing will effect expected wear. Sealer will not prevent surfacewear or washing from acids or causticchemicals.
HANDLING AND STORAGE: Close container tightly after each use. Store in originalcontainer only. Store and use in temperatures between 40° and 90°F (4°C and 32°C). Unused, stored productis freeze-thaw stable. Dispose ofresidue or any unused leftover productin accordance with applicable federal,state, and local requirements.
